Stopped by The Barrow House for brunch with two more guests and would rate my experience a 4.5/5. The staff were very friendly, were all wearing masks and sat us down pretty quickly. We were sat in the outside dining area and there was heat and blankets provided. I really enjoyed the ambiance because it made me feel as if I was visiting a cozy ski lodge during Christmastime.
To start off, I ordered The Steel Magnolia (Espolon Tequila Reposado, pomegranate, habanero hibiscus syrup & lime) drink. I LOVED this drink and would highly suggest ordering it if you stop by. It was an amazing combination of sweet, spicy and sour and paired perfectly with an appetizer of the Street Corn Tots (Tater tots, roasted corn, aleppo pepper, chipotle aioli, cotija cheese, cilantro). I really enjoyed this appetizer and would order again. Definitely recommend using the lime wedges as the perfect touch!
For my main meal, I chose to go with the Burrata pizza (Pomodoro sauce, Lioni burrata, marinated tomato and basil). I liked the pizza because Burrata is one of my favorite foods, however, it did feel as if it was missing a flavor note- either salty or spicy. I would rate the pizza a 3.5/5 and would recommend if you like fresh & rustic flavors. Next time I visit, I will most likely choose another meal option.
To finish off the meal, we ordered a DIY Smore's platter that came with graham crackers, Hershey's chocolate, blueberries, strawberries and two dipping sauces. It's definitely the more 'Instagrammable' dessert option, but I was pleasantly surprised at how fun it was to melt the marshmallows over a mini fire and make my Smore's exactly how I like them. It's definitely a great dessert option if you have kids!
Overall, I was very happy with my experience at The Barrow House and will be back!
