200 Greene St

Jersey City, NJ 07311

My quest to visit each Smorgasburg continues and I just need to stop by Prospect Park & Williamsburg to visit every vendor that I must try out! So far I've been to Smorgasburg WTC and this past Saturday I had an hour to see what Jersey City is all about! As expected, this location has a lot more vendors than WTC and a great variety of choices, alongside with Smorgasbar being a short walk over. I love that there's a mix of OG Smorgasburg vendors and new vendors to try out!

Before I move onto the part we're all here for, a.k.a. the delicious food, I do want to advise that the street parking near this location started getting full around Smorgasburg's 11AM opening. My sister ended up just accepting the $12 fee to park in the convenient parking lot right next to where Smorgasburg was being held for an hour. Since we left an hour and 10 minutes after we parked, the ticket ended up costing $21 so I would recommend stopping by on the light rail or the PATH train and taking a short walk. It kinda sucked since the food & drinks at Smorgasburg can get pricy but now we know for next time! The lot, however, did have several spots available at 11AM and the actual location where Smorgasburg was being held just starting to get packed right around 12PM. Lines weren't too long and there were a lot of cute dogs to look at while waiting for your food!

Now the food...

The whole purpose of stopping by Smorgasburg on this day was to visit Black Rican Vegan before they sold out! I have been following their Instagram for a while now and was prepared to make it as early as possible! My sister and I made an entire Smorgasburg plan and timed it to be there for one hour. Black Rican Vegan was our first stop and we knew exactly what we wanted to try out!

We each got the Chopped Cheese Eggrolls, Oyster Mushroom Burger and Berry Lemonade to share. The Chopped Cheese Eggrolls were AMAZING!! Not only were they perfectly crispy, the filling was delicious and the pink sauce on-top was the perfect touch. I would highly recommend ordering those if they're on the menu! The Oyster Mushroom Burger was also very crispy and flavorful. Everything down to the bun was well thought out and tasted incredible. The french fries were also crisp with a delicious, and slightly sweet seasoning. The Berry Lemonade was also tasty and paired well with the food. I really enjoyed this spot!

Since it was getting warmer while at Smorgasburg, I wanted a refreshing drink to-go and went back to one of my favorite vendors- Vermont Maple Lemonade to get their Apple Cider Raspberry Lemonade. Not only was this lemonade refreshing, it's my all-time favorite flavor that they offer. So good!

Lastly, I checked out The Boiis Co. to try out their mochi filled cookies after finding out about their spot on Instagram. Their cookies have a great texture & flavor and were presented beautifully! The staff were also incredibly kind and have a really nice set-up! I also decided to try out the Ube Basque Cheesecake and it was so light, fluffy & delicious. Both the cookies and the cheesecake were not overly sweet and that's my favorite thing about them. Definitely put this vendor on your list!

My sister and I could only stop by for three vendors, since we could only stick around for an hour, but we will definitely be stopping by Smorgasburg JC again to swing by Smorgasbar too for some margaritas!
