As a former local who has visited Tops Diner several times since I was a kid, this place will always have a special place in my heart. Tops has a great selection of menu options and are always upgrading their food, so I typically try something new every time I visit.

Tops does have excellent breakfast options and I would highly recommend stopping by for their pancakes, omelet's and french toast. Their portions are HUGE and you will definitely leave the diner feeling full and satisfied. Tops is kind of pricey but is certainly worth it if you're looking for a reliable, sit-down restaurant.

The last time I visited Tops, it was around lunchtime on a weekday. If you're able to visit at unusual hours, that would probably be best because they do get pretty busy during peak hours and on the weekends. They do have a waiting list on Yelp that is usually accurate, as well. The staff were also all wearing masks and they took each guest's temperatures upon arrival.

My last visit, I ordered the Eggplant Parmesan Sandwich with a side of onion rings. The eggplant and sauce were delicious & fresh, the bread was the perfect vessel & crispy and the portion was huge. I did have to request a to-go box for the food I could not finish, but it heat up beautifully in the air fryer later on! I also ordered a side of Cajun Waffle Fries w/ a Jalapeno Ranch Sauce and shared a Caesar Salad with my sister. The cajun waffle fries are always crispy & well-seasoned, but the ranch sauce it comes with is EVERYTHING! I would put that sauce on anything, to be honest. The Caesar salad was also solid and I liked how they provided the dressing on the side. Lastly, I ordered a Strawberry Lemonade and it came in a bottle from an Organic company. The Strawberry Lemonade had very few ingredients but was really tasty.

All in all, if you're ever in town and have some time to spare, please stop by Tops Diner to try out their extensive menu. Just make sure you're really hungry!
